Jason Jacobs

Jason Jacobs is a New York-based theatre-maker, director, and playwright who was a NYTheatre.com “Person of the Year,” Jason was formerly the founding co-artistic director of Theatre Askew, where he co-created and directed Bald Diva!. Other New York shows include: After the Chairs by David Koteles (2014 Fresh Fruit Festival, Best Direction Award), and Richard Sheinmel’s Modern Living series (LaMama Club). His play Another Horatio Alger Story was presented at Chicago’s Pride Film and Players 2016 Gay Play Fest. Upcoming productions include Uncle Tom’s Cabin at Pittsburgh Playhouse, Machinal at Long Island University, and his in-progress musical Miss Blanche Tells It All composed by Matthew C.
